There’s much to see and do in SF, especially if you like to walk. Our speciality.

To the ocean and back. Total 7 hours and 17 min, distance 26,7 km. And it was like a rollercoaster- up, down, up and again down. No matter how you planned the route, you can’t skip the hills.

The views from the top are worth the climb.

When you wander around you see things. Like this mister and his dog, who was on the back seat, because the dog was as big as the back seat…

If you don’t know what to do with your time in the city, go to the Golden Gate Park. There’s lots of grass where to have a picnic and watch the clouds, or play some ball, run etc. There’s also a beautiful Japanese Tea Garden where you can wander around and take in the zen. We decided to walk in the Botanical Garden, smell some flowers and get lost in the woods.

So far we haven’t revisited any of the restaurants where we have been outside Estonia (this is home). Today it’s about to change.

27’th of june in 2013 we landed at this restaurant on our last night in the states. And after a very nice dinner headed back to the hotel, packed some last things and drove to the airport. No sleep.

But this is 2016.

The reason to go back was the second Michelin star that they had in 2013 october. The first star was received in 2012.

Poetic Culinaria. Each season the menu is presented as a poem. You can guess what each line means or just wait and be smitten.

2016 the lines go like this:

Autumn has come with its cool breeze
A burst of oceanic feeling, salty black pearls
Red cherry, to juicy sour and loosely sweet
The whimsically ebullient blue umami and the pearl of the sea
Come with me and dive into the golden light
Look at those swimming creatures, tasty and crispy
The season of the highly sought after tricholoma
Smokey bite, remember Saint Germain
Brilliance is the beast, sound slumber in reflection of the blazing sky
A precious token
Walking deep in the woods,
Strolling on, in the orchard
As the earth might have something to spare
Autumn has come and full of sweet surprises
Sweetness, bounty, thanks

It was a fairytale through the beginning of autumn, full of guessing and discovering. We truly enjoyed our dinner. Once again.

Is it even possible not to be amazed of everything they have created? It is an adventure at your dinner table.
